Samsung beats Apple to emerge as leader in India’s premium smartphone segment
Samsung overtook its biggest rival company, Apple, to become the leader in smartphone market in India. Accortding to the research putforth by Hong Kong-based shipment tracker Counterpoint Research, earlier it was Apple whose share in smartphone segment of Indian market was 55% which is now 37 % and the same of Samsung was only 35% which is now leading at 67 %.

Samsung has been the leader from the past couple of years in terms of Smartphone units sold, but its Market Share is constantly dropping. Other prominent players in the Smartphone Market include Apple (consistent share), Huawei (trending upwards), Lenovo and Xiaomi.
