Samsung beats Apple to emerge as leader in India’s premium smartphone segment
Samsung overtook its biggest rival company, Apple, to become the leader in smartphone market in India. Accortding to the research putforth by Hong Kong-based shipment tracker Counterpoint Research, e arlier it was Apple whose share in smartphone segment of Indian market was 55% which is now 37 % and the same of Samsung was only 35% which is now leading at 67 %. Launch of Samsung Galaxy A7 and subsequent price cuts in previous models has helped to achieve this feat.
